First post in an age (due to work commitments) and last of the year, playing around with Zbrush and working it in to my modo workflow. Zbrush sculpt, modo render and photoshop clean up.

Edge of Tomorrow Concept art
I was very fortunate to spend most of 2012
working in Oliver Scholl’s UK based art dept working on Edge of Tomorrow.
Taking my lead from Oliver I produced concepts and illustrations for vehicles
and environments. Due to the combination of the people in the art dept and the
subject matter of the film it was one of the most rewarding and creative experiences I’ve
had working on a movie. Most of the below visuals are a combination of sketchup
and photoshop.

Working with Vehicle Art Director GaryTomkins, I worked on a military vehicle that could be the same from the waist
down but the top half would be reused-redressed from a manned jeep to an unmanned
supply drone

Snowmobile!
A little bit of quick sketching in photoshop lead to an idea I wanted to follow up with a modo model. Finished visual is a modo render with photoshop paint over.

Helmet sketch model
No new personal work to post at the moment to work commitments but here is something I knocked out earlier in the year. Modo and Meshfushion. I didn't mean for it to look like Kidney bean from the side! just happened that way

Car Sketch
More playing around with Modo and Meshfusion, a very quick and simple sketch model in modo with a little more time spent on the render and touched up in photoshop.

Modo / Meshfusion practise
I recently bought the new Meshfusion plugin for Modo and needed a quick project to get my head around the software. So I went back and built an old design for a blaster I did for season 01 of Doctor Who back in 2004. The model is 50/50 Modo and Meshfusion and render in Modo.

Cyberman re-design
IN 2008 I wrote a tutorial for ImagineFX magazine on rendering a Cyberman in photoshop. As a modelling experiment I took the design and built it in Modo for practice and these are some of the renders.
this was the old design I drew up that I based the model on.

Modelling and re-modeling in MODO
First blog in an age! (due to work commitments). This is an old design from last year which I have re-modelled in MODO which I've been learning since last November. It's still a work in progress and needs a full UV map with break down and rust.
